Retirement Simulator: Pension Estimation
Estimate your monthly pension, replacement rate, and number of quarters at retirement.
The 2023 pension reform
The 2023 pension reform gradually raised the legal retirement age to 64 (from 62) for those born from 1968 onward. The contribution period required for a full pension was increased to 172 quarters (43 years) for generations born after 1967.
Penalty and bonus: impact on your pension
If you retire without having validated all required quarters, a penalty of 1.25% per missing quarter applies (maximum 20 quarters, i.e., -25%). Conversely, if you continue working beyond the full rate, a bonus of 1.25% per additional quarter increases your pension.
Replacement rate: what to expect?
The replacement rate measures the ratio between your pension and your last salary. In France, it typically ranges from 50% to 75% of the last net salary for a private sector executive. The higher your income was, the lower the replacement rate proportionally.
